Regional SEND Inclusion Lead

Charlton Park Academy Trust is recruiting an Inclusion Service Team Leader to commence in April 2026 to support the government SEND white paper initiative by ensuring that schools and colleges receive high quality advice and training to support SEND young people and their families within mainstream, AP and specialist settings. The service model will be designed upon DfE strategic plans within the upcoming white paper and enhance local authorities SEND local offer providing commissioned SEND services.

In order to coordinate and develop the service we are looking for an experienced SEND outreach service team leader to take the leading role in shaping and developing this SEND outreach service to complement our existing outreach service Cenmac, an internationally renowned high quality advisory and support service supporting across London at present. The services will deliver multi-disciplinary support and advisory services designed around teachers, support staff SEND inclusion priority areas.

The team leader will work closely with regions group members, local schools, local authorities, AP, trusts and colleges to deliver and support high quality training and support to enhance Inclusion of SEND young peoples experiences and outcomes.

Key Requirements:

Only candidates with over 5 years suitable prior experience, skills and knowledge, with suitable qualifications will be suitable for this key role and will be expected to develop this advisory support service rapidly and at scale in line with the government white paper expected outcomes and timelines.

This is a newly created post in response to support the delivery of the National SEND Inclusion and Improvement plan.

Renumeration is on the lead practitioner pay scale and a spot point will be awarded on successful appointment by direct negotiation based upon post holders current renumeration.
