Pathway 1

Pathway 1: Academic and Employability Pathway

Pathway 1 provides a sequential and ambitious curriculum that develops academic and functional knowledge through applied and vocational learning.

In Key Stage 3, learners acquire secure foundations in literacy, numeracy, communication, and digital skills.

In Key Stage 4, they deepen knowledge through accredited study (e.g., GCSE, Gateway, or ASDAN) and project-based learning that connects core skills with enterprise and community participation.

By Key Stage 5, progression focuses on employability, self-management, and independence through structured work placements, vocational qualifications, and transition planning.

This pathway builds cognitive, social, and practical competence year on year, preparing students for post-19 education, employment, or training.
