Dear Parents and Carers
We look forward to welcoming our pupils back to school after the half term holidays on Monday 3rd November.
Take a look below at all the events and activities coming up for our pupils in November 2025.
We’d also love to see parents and carers at our weekly coffee mornings and craft group running throughout term time with Sara Johnson. It’s a great way to meet other parents and become part of our school community.

Event: Anti-Bullying Week and Odd Socks Day
Date: Monday 10th to Friday 14th November
About: The theme for Anti-Bullying week this year is “Power for Good”. Our pupils are encouraged to always be kind to everyone and that bullying will not be tolerated.

Event: Odd Socks Day
Date: Monday 10th November
About: Odd Socks Day is part of Anti Bullying Week. We encourage our students and staff to wear odd socks to help spread awareness. The week kicks off with Odd Socks Day on Monday 10th November with everyone encouraged to wear odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique. We hope to see some colourful socks!

Event: World Kindness Day
Date: Thursday 13th November
About: Each year, schools all over the country celebrate World Kindness Day. We encourage our pupils to spread kindness. They will also do some relaxing craft activities at school to help promote good physical and mental health. Being kind has a positive impact.

Event: Children in Need
Date: Friday 14th November
About: BBC Children in Need will be hosted by Vernon Kay, Mel Giedroyc, Lenny Rush, Rochelle Humes, Paddy McGuinness and Big Zuu on BBC1 on Friday 14th November. It will be a spectacular night of fundraising for children in need. We ask that our pupils bring a small amount of money with them to school to donate for this important cause.

Event: Road Safety Week
Date: Monday 17th to Friday 21st November
About: Our pupils will be learning about road safety to help prevent accidents.

Event: Future Planning Autumn Fair
Date: Wednesday 19th November 2025
Location: Heathview Building, Goldie Leigh Hospital site on Lodge Hill, Abbey Wood, London, SE2 0AS
About: CPA and Oxleas are hosting a Future Planning Fair for parents and carers to find out valuable information about next steps for their young people after leaving school.
They will have the opportunity to talk to a range of providers from within education, adult social care and day opportunities, adult health services and vocational opportunities.
This event is free to attend and designed to benefit parents and carers of all students with an EHCP who will be transitioning at the end of year 11 or Post-16 into adult services. We hope to see you there!

- CLDT (Community Learning Disability Team) – 10.30am to 11.55am
- Greenwich Social Care – 11.20am to 11.50am
- Young Person Experience of Transition – 11.50 to 12.10pm

Event: Key Stage 5 Enterprise Project
Date: November
About: Throughout November our Key Stage 5 students will be creating craft items to sell at a market at school. The money raised will go towards the end of school prom held at the end of the school year in July.

Event: Pantomime – Dick Whittington
Date: Thursday 27th November
About: Our pupils will experience the theatrical Pantomime – Dick Whittington. The story follows a boy who travels to London to seek his fortune. He is accompanied by his cat Tommy on his exciting adventure. The Pantomime is based on the real-life story of Richard Whittington (c.1354 – 1423) who was a wealthy merchant and later Lord Mayor of London.

Event: Parent & Carers Coffee Mornings
Date: Every Wednesday during term time
Time: 10am to 12pm
About: Get to know other Charlton Park Academy parents and carers. Please join Sara Johnson at Charlton Park Academy every Wednesday morning during term time for a chat, a cup of tea or coffee.

Event: Parent Craft Group
Date: Every Tuesday during term time
Time: 10am to 12pm
About: In these sessions parents and carers share their craft skills and make lovely items. We then sell these items to help raise money for the annual school prom which is held every summer. We’d love to see you so come and learn a new craft or share your own craft skills!
