Important Dates for our Students
Event: World Book Day
Date: Thursday 6th March
About: World Book Day is an annual celebration of authors, illustrators, books and the joy of reading. It’s a fantastic opportunity to focus on reading for pleasure and supporting our pupil’s own book choices and embedding a habit of reading. We will be doing lots of fun activities during the week to celebrate.
On Thursday 6th March we’d love our pupils to come to school dressed as their favourite book character or in their favourite comfortable clothing (no slippers please).
Event: National Careers Week
Date: Monday 17th to Friday 21st March
About: Our students will be learning all about careers.
Event: Sunshine Day
Date: Wednesday 19th March
About: The theme for Sunshine Day is “Happiness”. We will be talking about being happy and what activities we do that make us happy. Being happy is important for our wellbeing.
Event: International Day of Happiness
Date: Thursday 20th March
About: On Thursday March 20th it is the UN International Day of Happiness. The theme is “Caring and Sharing”. This year’s theme reminds us that lasting happiness comes form caring for each other, feeling connected and being part of a community.
Event: Red Nose Day for Comic Relief
Date: Friday 21st March
About: We will be celebrating Red Nose Day with lots of fun activities. We ask that our students bring a small amount of money to school to donate to Comic Relief. Your donations help to fill the shelves of baby banks, community food centres, fund vital community-led services like health workers, local youth safe-spaces, and more.

Event: Blue Badge & Freedom Pass Session
Date: Monday 3rd March
Timeslots: 11am, 11.30am, 12.00pm, 12.30pm and 1pm.
Location: Charlton Park Academy
About: On Monday 3rd March we are holding Blue Badge and Freedom Pass sessions at Charlton Park Academy for parents and carers. Please book in if you would like to either RENEW or APPLY FOR A NEW Blue Badge or Freedom Pass for your young person.

Event: Parent matters with Niall Fallon and Sara Johnson
Date: Monday 3rd March
Time: 10am and 10.45am
Location: Online via Microsoft Teams
About: Please let Sara Johnson know if you would like to join this online session where we will be discussing what is working well and what we need to improve at Charlton Park Academy.

Event: RBG Short Breaks CPA Drop-in
Date: Thursday 6th March
Time: 10am to 11.30am
Location: Charlton Park Academy

Please note the Short Break Drop-in slots are limited and will be confirmed on a first-come-first basis. You will receive an email correspondence from the short-break team confirming the time of your session.

About: Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to cancel this event. We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause.
Session: Spring Open Day
Date: Saturday 8th March 2025
Time: 10am to 2.00 pm
Venue: Charlton Park Academy
About: This is a great opportunity to have a guided tour of the school with members of the CPA Leadership Team. Come along and see all the great facilities we have for our pupils.

Date: Every Wednesday during term time
Time: 10am to 12pm

About: Please come along to meet other parents and carers, have a chat and a cup of tea or coffee.
Session: Choir parent group
Date: Every Wednesday during term time
Time: 12.15pm to 1.30pm
Location: Trinity Church Community Centre, 26 Burrage Road, Plumstead SE18 7JW
About: Join our parents and carers for a weekly choir.
