At CPA we have a high focus on preparing our students for adulthood and promoting independence skills.

Is it our vision that students will leave CPA with knowledge and skills that will help students transition into the next stage of the adulthood to be as independent as possible.

We not only provide support and skills based learning on making food, but also making healthy choices, and this combined with the health related activities CPA offer, will help students to continue a healthy, positive lifestyle.

During food technology and meal preparation lessons, we not only teach the students how to handle and prepare food, but how to keep themselves safe and use equipment appropriately.

By the end of their journey at CPA, we aim that students will achieve not only skills, but accredited certificates in these valuable life skills areas.

We are encouraging students to use resources that will be shared to parents and carers so that they continue to support their sons/daughters in learning and embedding these new skills both in education and home settings.
