Letter To Parents about December Activities

30th November 2023

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are busy making plans for pupils to have a fun and enjoyable end of term. This December there will be many festive celebrations and learning opportunities taking place as we build up to the festive period. Students will have access to festive crafts in class and will be bringing home things they have made. Below are some important dates for your diary so you know what will be taking place in school.

  • On Friday 8th December we will be raising money for Save the Children by taking part in the National Christmas Jumper Day. Students will be invited to wear festive jumpers or outfits and to bring a voluntary donation to school.
  • Our Post-16 students have been working hard this term as part of their enterprise learning to create different Christmas decorations and gifts. We will be holding a small Christmas Market on Tuesday 12th December. If any students would like to join in, they can bring in a small amount of money to buy items to bring home.
  • On Tuesday 19thDecember some pupils will be performing in either choir or dance. These performances are for classes of pupils. (Sadly we are not able to offer performances for parents). Class teams will be taking photographs, and these will be emailed to parents if requested.
  • On Wednesday 20thDecember there will be a ‘Winter Wonderland’ party experience for pupils in the morning. Pupils can dress up if they wish. The aim of this event is to give pupils the opportunity to make happy memories with their peers. There will be music, dancing, refreshments, and Santa! In addition, we are having a ‘Frozen’ themed sensory experience with the chance for pupils to meet Elsa and Anna!

Participation in all these events will be supported by class teams and pupils will be given the chance to opt in or out of as much as they want.

Any questions please contact your child’s teacher in the first instance.

Kind regards
