Drama Therapy

Drama therapy supports students’ emotional wellbeing and helps them develop a range of skills, including:

  • communication and listening
  • turn-taking
  • creative expression and play
  • body awareness
  • self-esteem
  • building relationships with peers.

Sessions can be offered individually or in a group. You do not need to be good at drama to take part. Sessions can involve many different ways of exploring creativity and self-expression.

Every session is different and develops over time, responding to the needs, interests and ideas of each student or group.

If you feel a student would benefit from drama therapy, please complete a Therapy Referral Form and return it to senco@charltonparkacademy.co.uk.
