Important Dates in July at CPA
Dear Parents and Carers,
Following the heatwave school has resumed as normal, with regular school hours (9.10am – 3pm), from Monday 29th June through to the last day of the school year Friday 17th July.
We have some lovely activities planned for our students to help celebrate the end of the school year.
For our returning students the new school year will begin on Friday 4th September 2026 (Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd September will be INSET days for teaching staff only).
We wish our leavers all the very best with their next steps into adulthood and hope they will keep in touch with our school community.

Activities & Events for Students
Event: Sunshine Day
Date: Wednesday 1st July
About: Our students will be involved in activities that support wellbeing and kindness.

Event: Enterprise Week and Student Craft Market
Date: Thursday 2nd July
About: Our students have been working very hard to create a range of craft items for sale. We ask that our students bring a small amount of money (preferably coins) to purchase items of their choice at the Enterprise market. Items will be priced approximately between 50p and £2.

Event: ‘Dance for Rights’
Date: Tuesday 7th July
About: A small group of pupils will be taking part in ‘Dance for Rights’, a nationwide event for pupils in the UK, organised by the Royal Ballet and Opera Schools in collaboration with Create & Dance and UNICEF.

Event: ‘The Steel Panthers’ steel plan band
Date: Friday 10th July
About: ‘The Steel Panthers’, an authentic steel pan band will be at school playing classic calypso, Motown, pop, reggae and more music for pupils.

Event: Wellbeing Week
Date: Monday 13th to Friday 17th July
About: Our students will be involved in activities to help support their wellbeing.

Event: GCSE Art Exhibition
Date: Tuesday 14th July
About: We will be exhibiting artworks made by our GCSE Art Students in the Lower Art room.

Event: Whole School Celebration of the Year
Date: Friday 17th July
About: We will hold a whole school assembly to celebrate the achievements of our students throughout the year.

Event: Disco for pupils
Date: Friday 17th July
Time: Morning
About: We are holding an end of year disco for our students to help celebrate the end of the school year.

Event: Post 16 Leavers Prom
Date: Friday 17th July
Time: Afternoon
About: Our Post 16 students will celebrate the end of their school journey with a DJ, music and dancing.

Activities for Parents
Activity: Parents & Carers Craft Group
Date: Every Tuesday during term time
Time: 10.00am to 12.00pm
Location: Charlton Park Academy
About: In these sessions parents and carers share their craft skills and make lovely items. We then sell these items to help raise money for the annual school prom which is held every summer. We’d love to see you, so come and learn a new craft or share your own craft skills!

Activity: Greenwich Carer Voices for Parents & Carers
Time: 12.15pm to 13.30pm
Date: Every Wednesday during term time
Location: Charlton Park Academy
About: Every Wednesday during term time at Charlton Park Academy Guided by a fantastic choir leader who is a professional Soprano and loves to lead community choirs. We are “all abilities” which means you just need to enjoy singing!
Singing combines being with other carers, having a laugh, expressing yourself in a song and de-stressing. You’ll also receive valuable professional musical tuition to make the very best of your voice. Just drop in. No need to book!

Date: Every Wednesday during term time
Time: 10am to 12pm
