SEND Teacher at CPA Job Description
Join Our Growing Team at Charlton Park Academy
Due to the increasing popularity of Charlton Park Academy, our outstanding facilities, rising demand for pupil places, and the planned expansion of our Trust, we are looking to recruit friendly, kind, positive, and committed SEN Teachers with high professional standards and a strong dedication to supporting our students and their families.
We welcome applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers.
We are particularly keen to hear from:
- Confident and skilled SEN and Primary-trained teachers, ideally with experience in Early Years, KS1 or KS2, and a background or strong interest in SEND.
- Teachers with a secure knowledge of autism or a willingness to develop skills in this area—our largest pupil intake are students diagnosed with autism.
- Enthusiastic and committed Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who have a keen interest in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and a proactive approach to continued professional development (CPD).
In-house training and strong management support are available for those transitioning into a SEND setting, and we are committed to supporting your continued professional development.
As part of our CPD offer and commitment to developing excellent teaching practice, we use Instructional Coaching to provide ongoing, tailored support for teachers at all stages of their career. All teachers are also given access to a variety of CPD opportunities, including membership to the Chartered College of Teaching, with the opportunity to work towards the Chartered College of Teaching Award.
If you have subject leadership experience or specialist knowledge in areas of SEND, we strongly encourage you to apply. Additional enhanced salary packages may be offered depending on your expertise, particularly for staff with ASD training and those willing to mentor or support peers.

- Free gym access
