International Women’s Day 2023 #EmbraceEquity
TODAY: International Women’s Day 2023
The theme for International Women’s Day 2023, being celebrated today is #EmbraceEquity, urging us all to recognise that people start from different places and have different circumstances so true inclusion and belonging can only be achieved through equitable action.
To highlight the campaign and to launch SSAT’s upcoming women in leadership and education event, we are inviting experienced and emerging female leaders to share their thoughts on our theme.
We’d like to invite experienced female leaders and those in the early stages of their leadership journey from Charlton Park Academy to join the conversation, either by writing a short blog post or recording your thoughts on a 1-minute video to the following questions:
- What has helped or inspired your own journey into leadership?
- What one thing should schools focus on to address barriers to the progression of women into leadership?
- What advice, tip or words of encouragement do you have for the next generation of female leaders?
You can send responses directly to me so that they can be shared through the Sunday Supplement, on social media and on our website.
SSAT SEND Webinar: Outreach service – who and how it can support in SEND –
Tuesday 21 March 2023 (3.30 – 4.30pm)
As a Special School, Priory School sees their Outreach service as an opportunity to share knowledge and good practise to both parents, mainstream schools and other agencies who may work with students now or in the future. In this session, they will discuss how they identified the main areas of their outreach project, in conjunction with the local LA offer, the obstacles faced in doing so and how they have adapted the offer to meet the various needs of the people they would like to reach – including parents and transport. Book your free places here.
