Come along to the Charlton Park Academy and have your say about the resource allocation system (RAS) tool used by social care when allocating specialist short breaks.
The RAS tool is used as part of a social care assessment. It is a questionnaire with key outcomes we aspire for each child to meet. Under each outcome it describes the level of support your child needs to achieve the outcome. The tool should be completed with you alongside a social worker or a key worker. It also ensures your wellbeing and your wishes are considered in the assessment process.
It is a straightforward way of working out the level of support you and the person you care for require to meet key outcomes. The tool identifies a score which helps RBG to decide the best way for you to be supported.
