In the last three years, the proportion of students who make expected progress and exceed expected progress is consistently in line with similar national figures (schools with cohort similar to CPA and judged as Outstanding in their last Ofsted have 88% of its pupils making the expected progress or above); from each different starting point, a significant proportion of students (86%) are making and exceeding expected progress.

 

Most students (86%) make strong progress across our curriculum including English and Maths, whilst 35% of students exceeded the expected progress in both English and Maths. There are no differences in the progress made by different groups of pupils including the vulnerable groups (gender (F- 85%, M- 85%), FSM (84%), EAL (88%), with PBS (86%), borders (87%), GP plans (82%), ethnic minorities).

Over the last three years, students’ achievement, in both English and Maths, has been consistent: in 2015, 84% made the expected progress or better whereas in 2017, the achievement was 86%. Equally, students’ achievement across different key stages has been on an upward trend and with:

  • 90% of KS3 students
  • 87% of KS4 students and
  • 80% of KS5 students making the expected progress or better in both English and Maths.
