Youth Events – Mental Health and Street Safety
A message from Shannice McCalla | Youth Voice & Insight Officer:
There are 2 AMAZING #YouthVoice events taking place THIS MONTH, help us give them a voice and engage in FREE extra-curricular activities!
1: Youth Voice Question Time
Youth Voice Question Time will give young people the opportunity to quiz the people that make the decisions about children and young people’s Mental Health – including the Director of Public Health and the Managing Director of the Greenwich Clinical Commissioning Group (who fund most health services in the borough!).
It’ll take place on Tuesday 28 May 2019 at 6:00 – 8:00pm, at Woolwich Town Hall.
They can sign up here: https://mhyvqt2019.eventbrite.co.uk
2: Police Youth Think Tanks
Following their Anti-Knife Crime Summit in February GYPC are now hosting a series of Police Youth Think Tanks on a number of other Street Safety topics. Young people across Greenwich are welcome to attend and there’ll be FREE PIZZA!
Each session is focussed on a different theme:
- County Lines – 23 May 2019, 5-7pm
Location: Woolwich Common Youth Hub, Nightingale Place SE18 4HX
- Gangs – 13 June 2019, 5-7pm
- Stop & Search – 27 June 2019, 5-7pm
Young people can just turn up on the night – or register in advance: https://gypcpytt.eventbrite.co.uk/
We’re still confirming venues the last two venues; but will post these details to the Event page and GYPC’s Twitter & Instagram accounts.
